AARGH!!!

I've not lost any weight in the past 3 weeks! How frustrating! I feel like I'm working my butt off with cardio and weight training, but obviously I'm not! Well, tomorrow is another day and another chance to excel. I'll be in California for most of next week, so I'll take another 0 since I can't weigh in. I'll be aiming for that following Tuesday!

Thanks!

Hi Ladies! I finally lost my first bit of weight since we started .... almost one-half of one percent. It's not a lot -- but I'm hoping it's a real start. And, I wanted to thank you -- for that. Without this blog (and the LBD3 challenge), I'm pretty sure I would have just stayed steady at my current weight. (I lost about 15 pounds at the start of the year -- after hitting a very long plateau, I had convinced myself that maintaining was better than loosing weight -- only to gain it back.) I was just a bit too comfortable with maintaining, I think. I'm trying to just be more healthful -- get those fruits and veggies into me - along with other less healthful snacks. And, I've really tried to start walking. I grab 20 minutes at lunchtime when I can. My husband has also started walking for about half-an-hour with me in the evenings. Nicole - thanks for all your blog recommendations. I've started checking out "Prior Fat Girl" -- with the hope that it will be me one day. Good luck in the coming weeks to all!

A Shameless Plug for Dinner Zen

Dinner Zen

Have you tried Dinner Zen in Reston - South Lakes Shopping Center? It's a meal assembly place where you choose from their menu and set up a time to go make meals. They have everything ready and it's so easy! and healthy! and yummy! All you do is make it, take it home, and freeze it! Then, pop it in the oven or on the stovetop for an easy meal. One of our fellow challengers, Antoinette, told me about it. And, they have pre-made meals in their freezer - I've taken to getting those. It's quicker to just pick them up.

Not that I ever have it (ha ha) but they also have cheesecake made by this guy Marvin who lives in South Riding - to die for!!!

Just thought I'd mention it - in case you are getting bored of creative cooking!

A little whine with dinner?

OK, I really don't feel like getting on the treadmill. It's Saturday afternoon and I feel like I've worked a full day - doing errands, wet-vacuuming the rug, laundry - you all know what I'm talking about. I even got out the drill and hung up a new towel rod in the bathroom. (I love HGTV.)

Anyway, since I didn't lose any pounds last week, I know I've got to shake things up, so I'm gonna do an hour if I can. Then dinner - shrimp on the grill. Then relaxing with a good book. No wine.

What's up with you this weekend? Are you motivated? I know Nicole is - she's on a great vacation, climbing mountains and stuff in Alaska!!!

UPDATE: three hours later: I ran/walked 4 miles on the treadmill, cooked dinner, took Dennis & Jeremy to Dick's Sporting Goods for some last minute school stuff and WORMS so they can fish tomorrow. And I survived!!! Now comes the good book part...
